Having perfect police, fire, education, hospitals, traffic etc isn't essential either, as long as they are 'adequate' your city can still thrive. It costs for example a huge amount of budget to have an 'excellent' police service and it simply isn't worth it until you are building archologies.[/b]
Uh, this has always been something I tuned my attention to...

I try to grow that much, until I can afford one more station and have budget left.

You just have to do the math. It costs $100 a year to support a single police, fire or hospital (schools and colleges are cheaper). If you turn 50 such buildings into 30 you will be making $2000 more. As long as the sims aren't "demanding" more police etc in your newspapers then it won't actually effect zone demands. I've had many a city raking in $12000 a year with skyrocketing demand and my advisor telling me 'crime is out of control.' It is somewhat easier to keep hospitals and fire in the adequate bracket and the sims tend to be less happy if you don't as compared to police.

Just build, it isn't that hard ^^. The only way of me getting satisfied playing the game and to tell that i have finished it was build a city, get alot of money buy those insanly expensive big future buildings and place them on every empty space there is that is the way to get a big population =)

I think you only could fill half of the map with them though, some stupid bug

Nah, merely a limiatation in DOS and early Windows versions of the game.

Patched Windows version has this limit increased by over twice the usual count.

Laiocfar, I'm not a big fan of arcology designs... but I think that SCURK can be used to mod them around a bit. Which reminds me to have a go at it.

Ah SimCity 2000. One of my all time favorites. I never could get into the newer games, I have no idea why. I play the game in Dosbox, but the sound is a bit sketchy. But I find that its much better than some games. Skipping and jumping sound in Doxbox seems to be inevitable in some games, all I've found to fix it is to try VDMsound or just up the cycles in dosbox until I've found an acceptable number.

This game is still sold.

Therefore we cannot:
1. put it up for download on Abandonia
2. provide you with links to any source of download
3. send you the archive through e-mail or any messenger programs

If you want it... buy it.
