Well I finished the quest of Shift gate and now I am in a strange town some like Silitude when
non stop snowing and some idiots-like people are running up and down.
I stopped them and asking where is..? but I have no any idea what to do after?
Yes, my level is 5 and I am able to kill thief and Lizard man ( hard task)
but soon became dark nite , all inns locked and the monsters again attack me.
So I am forced to hide in some corner and trembling to wait the new morning.
The only question to the masters who finished the game is : Whats the idea - generally speaking=
of this nice game.
and one more : Some idiot stated in Google that if I write down in the character sheet in all caps
the words = F..K YOU = I will gain 20 000 credits? True?

well first off ya do some errands for the townfolk, gain a few levels, and then when ya feel up to it, ask for rumors about Fang Lair, which will send ya to Rihad, and the Queen, who will send ya further off for a staff ya have to assemble (7 pieces in 7 dungeons) to defeat the main enemy.

Ok I've been playing this game made it to the shimering light and out into the city, pulled up my map and
low memory error. Lucky I had it saved twice once in the dungeon just before coming out and once in town right before the crash. I'm running windows '98 and was just playing it Ms-dos mode, took me a while to configure the mouse and sound but I have that. I've tried running it on dosbox but even with the cycles turned up it still runs too slow to bother with but at least I can see the map and save the game in that mode at 4,000 or 6,000 cycles it's take a step wait 5 seconds for computer to catch up. I've tried to put in 1-6 frame skips and that doesn't help either. About to give up and go play Ultima underworld instead.

Have you tried to run it through a boot disc? Win and dos tend to fight over the same 640 kb, regardless of extended memory.

I did try making a boot disk for it once using the one inside Arena itself and everytime I tried I got an error.

If the creation of the disc caused the error, try making one yourself. Either download one from Abandonia, or go to "add/remove programs" and create a rescue disc there, then add the drivers for mouse and sound.

I remember I needed 12000 - 15000 cycles and 1 or 2 frameskips and even then it didn't run all that smoothly. Which is surprising for such an old game with such simple graphics...

Ok thanks I found an old boot disk I had used for another game that I thought didn't work anymore,
tried it on Arena and it works perfectly so the boot disk fixed the issues I had. I have to run the a executable instead of Arena but it works, just no sound now but I don't have the memory issues now. Been playing it a lot since I got it working, good game.

I am Battlemage , level 8 and meet the trouble:
I left the first town Silitude. But I am lost. I can not back to the town
cause I dunno where I am.
Tip: I entered a building with square-like frame . In this house I entered
4 dangerous places- the pictures and other interior is king-like. The 4 places are located at
the 4-th corners of the house.
Please help me to back to the town.
