Finally finished it last night after a long delay. Not bad, though I still prefer earlier Legend Entertainment games such as Death Gate and Shannara. I still don't know what happened with Stonebender's family since the movie is ripped.

Anyway, I would give 3 out of 5 rating for this game k:

Hello,

the difference is not ZIP and RAR. Underdogs got the Original without Speech. The difference is the file pic.ace which contains the 52 picturefiles. You have to unpack it with SETUP.BAT . All files are identical.

There is no digital audio because speech is missing. You should select and configure MIDI music driver in SETSOUND.EXE to get sound.

Hello,

there is a problem with the patch 1.0.0 -> 1.0.1 :

Quote:
There is this patch for the game that can be downloade here: http://www.mysterymanor.net/pafiledb...ion=file&id=36

I haven't tried that patch yet since it states the previous saved games will be obsolete and I'm too lazy to start over from the beginning, so I can't guarantee that patch will solve the problem or whether it will work at all.
Applying MODIFY File patch for CSS.EXE : Invalid copy of file found. No update can be done.

As for the "Memory Cache" problem, two steps solution:

1. Run Setsound with Vdmsound and select "No Digital Audio".

2. Run Ccs.exe with Vdmsound and there you go...
Of course running it with no sound will fix a sound-related error!

You're an *** no insults! -strobe. He wants to know how to fix the problem AND run it with sound.

I'm having the same problem and I have no idea how to fix it. The problem is duplicated with DOSBox, VDMSound, and running it native in WinXP... Always ""unable to allocate memory for sound/voice directory cache." It's getting on my nerves.

:help: ..I'm in the spaceship in the emitter room and this is driving me mad... I know what I should be doing, give the tool to Noah..but where the hell is he physically? When I click on things in the room he gives reactions so he is in the room, but I can't see him anywhere and his picture at the bottom is gone so I don't know how to hand the tool to him! I hope someone can tell me how I can move on.

Are you running it in DOSBox or in Windows?
