And that's why he's so good. The only thing that alerted me was GiantMidgit 's first comment, and besides, now that I see the credits for the first time --I stopped it at the middle before-- they're not telling you that it's not some kind of serious or humour reality show. The "Stealin' Furnature" one is far more obvious, and funnier.

It's a huge show over here, and for just reason. It's just so well done.
Other great moments: Bubbles is confronted by Bible Salesmen: http://youtube.com/watch?v=Qu4cqKo5GvM&...r%20park%20boys Bubbles meddles his way through "Closer to the Heart" with Rush: http://youtube.com/watch?v=W6AaMEO9_xg&...o%20the%20heart The entire first episode: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RX9lNt0-nhA...=trailer%20park |

The whole Rush thing was weird, and awesome. Alex Lifeson wanted the boys to do a cameo in their 2003 tour in Toronto. ...so the boys asked him if he wanted to do an entire show based around it.
"Closer to the Heart" is probably one of the best damned television show episodes I've ever seen. Available in three parts here: http://youtube.com/watch?v=5wh88tBCBR8&...heart%20trailer http://youtube.com/watch?v=4Rsf8ojrp7Y&...heart%20trailer http://youtube.com/watch?v=NdaF1004JuI&...heart%20trailer Also, Bubbles, Rush and some members of the Barenaked Ladies perform Closer for the CBC tsunami relief charity fund: http://youtube.com/watch?v=NdaF1004JuI&...heart%20trailer The thing about trailer park boys and my fanaticism towards it is that it's just pure Canadian culture. It reflected Canada so well, which is a country of people who spend their days drinking, smoking weed and listening to old rock and roll. I guess that's why it was so well received here. |
