Although this says it's for the Apple II, the game map and weapon specifications, etc are the same in all versions.

This was the best game I ever had on my C-64.

my lord how i loved this game when it was first out. Me and my friend stayed up all night playing it - first time i ever did that. Absolutely brilliant - i played everything lord british made from that point on.

Autoduel is an awsome game i played when i was a kid

there was Roadwar usa and europe that is close to the game made by ssi

I love it i Have the Orignal commodore 64 version and works

to bad in not abandonware as the game is over 16 year old!

if companys are not releasing a over 10 year old game to public domain

they better dam well remake update the game to present modern pc standerds

Sad...loved this game on my Apple IIC

Searched for it in the past with no luck.........found a few versions on eBay but nothing in a format I could use.

If anyone knows where I can get a working copy plz let me know.

Yes, this game was a favorite. Like many great old favorites it had a huge disadvantage: the disks would eventually crap out and no more game!!!

Graphics aside it was a worthy effort and a milestone of its time. No, Steve Jackson Games when last I was contacted from questioning is not re-releasing it or making a new one. Why is beyond me... though they said financial reasons. Auto Assault if it is ever made should be Autoduelesque as one of the programmers is a former Origin employee.

Yeah, I have been looking on Ebay myself for it... my copy went with my old hard drive a couple years back and, no, my disks no longer work either. If you love the game and Car Wars contact as many people as you can and have them (or get a petition) and get the news to SJ Games. Unfortunately, the game just never sold enough copies.

As I believe was mentioned above, this game is mislabeled. It is an RPG, not a racing game.

If anyone is reading this forum with the authority to move it to the RPG section, please do so.
