I never get SCIII but SCII was update as the urquan masters, it has completly rewrited in a SDL base so it can be easy editable and you can make many adds to this program. The abandonia´s version is the original, dont modifycation can go on over it. This addons are voice for the game more and better music plus the translation of the game to many languages (i am in the to spanish team were there are only one spanish per 5 people, we are 5).
Anyway this new STIII wouldnt be freeware but be sure that the people of the urquan masters (the SDL version of SCII), will make that the new game go on, even they got some programmers that can be for use.
