Gundam Wing:Endless Duel
Super Metroid

That's two of three SNES games I've played on the emulator, but I quite like them.

Simply - today's games lack that special enchanted something that made out the games back then. Today it's mostly graphics, graphics, and some fun to throw in for selling value, but evenso, the games from the old times were developing, there was a search for new, many new ideas came. Today's games are more or less similar to each other, there's little new to discover except the rush for graphics, or so it seems.
I do agree on that. I believe the games of today lack playability. How often do you pull out one of the newer games to play it again even tho you just finished it not long ago?
I've found myself playing Chrono Trigger straight after finishing it... now that's gaming experience 1 on 1

Kirby is great because of it's simplicity.

Pink guy eats/swallow people. Gets powers beats bosses. Saves Dreamland.

I didn't own many games, however my favourites were:

Donkey Kong 2 - The music and graphics were spectacular. I couldn't believe its SNES.
Mortal Combat 2 - I think its the best one of the series.
Yoshi's Island - Although it was too easy the gameplay was very creative.

My fav would be chrono trigger alone (other snes games annoyed me so much.) I'll never forget when I went to London to send a month with my relatives. My uncle is a maniac nintendo collector, and he actually HAS the original game! I1ll never forget the atmosphere of playing the game on the real thing! I would think that's the best game ever on snes.

Alot of people have the original Chrono Trigger cart. Hell, even I have it, and the highlight of my collection is just stuff like a Colecovision.

Btw,seems like lot of guys here enjoy Secret of Mana-I have it and its kinda strange(guy with pink bandana, killer mushrooms with little hearts on them)-will it get better? Also, the story seems strangely like the one from FF 3...

It doesn't always have to be the skeletons and wizards and all the "sword & sorcery" Fantasy. But nevertheless this game is true Fantasy, a little Japanese-kind but a very interesting one. Just accept the game as it is, and you'll find yourself playing until late in the game. Trouble will only come when you're ready (and needed) to visit the Mana Tree. The monsters there are a lot harder than all you encountered before, and the armor you got so far will be much too little for them - much damage to the party in result, with fast death. But if you survive there, you can find stronger armor pieces occasionaly which will help the trouble.
