Are you guys kidding me? There are several good adventures from commercial companies (you know what I mean) each year! Just one such company (publisher) is The Adventure Company. http://www.adventurecompanygames.com/tac/
Don't worry, there are still new good games out there. |

True I've seen many of their adventure games at the store, some of them are pretty good and some of them are not so much.
