Sorry for bieng such an idiot, but how do I play the game? I've tried all the executable files, but the only one that works is "INSTALL". Install will only let me adjust the sound options though....

Did you try the game in DOSBox?

DOSBox runs almost EVERY game on this site.

Remember that these are old DOS games, and that WinXP will not work on many of these games. :bye:

Well, ok, that seemed to work, thanks! I hope you won't mind a few more questions though...

The sound doesn't work, what should I set it at if I want to hear the background music, etc?
The game is slower tham molasses, is there any way I can speed it up?
Is there a game manual anywhere so I can learn how it works without just constantly guessing?

You can speed up games in DosBox. With CTRL+F12 you increase CPU cycles which will be proceeded and decrease them with CTRL+F11. To skip frames, which increases the game speed at cost of more choppy displaying, use CTRL-F8 for increasing and CTRL-F7 for decreasing them.

I already tried that, but it doesn't seem to have any effect.

You can adjust the speed of the game in the game's options itself, also. Just set it to the higher value, but better not the highest. Then it starts to skip frames, if I remember correctly.*
I checked the game's options, but there is no speed setting, did you maybe mean turning the detail up or down?

Hey guys,

I have win98 and the game will run, but it freezes (the computer stops responding and I have to reset) almost every time I try to save and sometimes when I click on the character sheet. Is it possible to somehow fix it without using DosBox, because I have a 333 mhz machine and all games under it are running terribly slow or choppy.

Thanks, Stardust
