Ok, What type of people would be stupid enough to even try to be like the games Rockstar made? I mean people have already done GTA....they even took guns to think that they are toys...!

Ok, i´m just going to say the way i see it... rockstar games are big cause they´re extremely well designed and go according to the mass media culture in america (the rap/badboy/gangsta culture) ... look at they´re mtv videos , stuff like 50cent, eminem.... i don´t like... but it works for them... just look at how much design attention has gone into plotting the recent 5 fps shooters................ that says a lot about the current gaming industry doesn´t it. i´m not saying it´s bad (even if I think it is), but it´s a different mentality then when games like a mind forever voyaging, loom, civ 1, where being developed.

Not that a game needs a tome of a manual to be fun! it doesn´t, but that´s all it´s going to be: fun... not inspiring, cathartic.. even creatively exciting like loom was, or the first monkey island when it was released.

BUT, as i always say... that´s just my take on it...

i, for one, don´t like rockstar games... and YES i´ve played almost all of their releases, just not too much cause i don´t really see the point (besides being fun for half an hour for me), of doing a routine of robbing and killing....

Well, given that the most appreciated part of the "GTA"-series was set in the 80's and featured a "Scarface"/"Miami Vice"-chique, I'd say it's not just as easy as that...

But to be fair, one's gotta admit that the "new" GTA games exceeded everything else Rockstar ever did by far in terms of play value and general quality... I hope "The Warriors" won't suck, though... but from what I've seen so far, it won't! k:

This is pretty off-topic, but hasn't that game come out already?
Oh, and to ease your worries, it's a good game.

I think playing a game as an nazi would be kind of helpful to peoples views at why the Germans did such a thing, it was not something they did out of sheer spite, you know.
Not to say what they did was right or anything even related to right.

If we saw more games which interpreted both the European / American efforts, and the German efforts, instead of all those "Rambo" (Lets go kill some Ninjas/Nazis/ect.ect) themed games people would have a whole different opinion on everything happened.

Of course, this would have to be a more politically themed game, and it woulden't appeal to the general gamer.

If people saw what kind of sick people Hitlers henchmen were, there would be less sympathy for the Nazis than ever.

Well. Thats my own opinion at least.

Double post...

The thing is, the government(s) dont WANT people to know there is violence in public schools. They just want more money and votes...
