Hmm... I don't really think that omg really has enough time to learn German tenses though.
All I know from doing it for almost a year is that to say something in the 'basic'' (as in childish) future it's Ich werde Du wirst Er/Sie/Es/Mann wird Wir werden Ihr werdt (? it's a guess) Sie werden sie werden and then stick a verb last in the infinitive (for example 'ich werde Deutsch sprechen'). But that's going to be way beyond most people and to be honest it's not really easy to explain better than that. |

Three tanses is enough for anyone.
Past (haben and verb and the end with ge- prefix) Present (easy) Future (werden and verb at the end) Anything more is pointless showing off. |

Past is like the french past mate. It has ist/bin/bist/sind (it does have a collective name, but I've forgotten it) as hell ah haben.
For example - Ich habe ein Film gesehen (I have seen a film) but you also get stuff like - Ich bin 1989 geboren (they don't say 'in') which is a shame. Anyway, since we haven't really learned the past that's the extent of my knowledge. |

"Sind" is used as the auxillary verb in the perfect tense if movement is involved (e.g. with "gehen" or "fahren") and "haben is used for other verbs.

The infinitive form is "sein". "Sind" is first and third person plural. Just to keep this up to the high standards of pedantry in this thread.:P

Leute, ihr überfordert mich
Ich werde Du wirst Er/Sie/Es wird Wir werden Ihr werdet Sie werden By the way: That is a complete list how german children in the german-lesson have to decline words. You don't need the "sie werden" (that one with the small 's'). |
