I have a different problem:

But my game locks up when I try to sign in at the tavern (for Character generation)

clicking on the food, rumors,.....works fine, but when I want to leave or Sign up, the game hangs.

This happens under Dos as well as under DOSBox.

Doh.....always liked that game and I WANT TO PLAY IT AGAIN. So plz help!!!

It's the same problem: open install, anser no, set sound blaster for music and speech, save, exit and play. k:

Nope, me feels like a noob.....and that happened to ME!!!!!!


You were right, of course, silly me, I screwed up with the sound conf.

Now I'm hacking away a lot and the game runs fine, thx again!

(still, i tune the sound to low volume..what's that annoying feeping sound that happens ocassionally? That one that sounds like a PC-Speaker-Siren??? Played the game for years, and still i haven't gotten to the bottom of that....)
