![]() You know, I remember being really good at this game when it came out, getting my final deaths and arrests rate down to 0 for each of the maps...
However, whether it's so many years of playing sequels on the PS2, with analogue controls, or whether I am just showing that I am just plain out of practice... I am now having real problems playing this game... hehe Althought I do still prefer the London 1969 missions to the classic missions this is a brilliant game, no sorry, an iconic game that Rockstar rightfully pay tribute to in GTA: San Andreas with the gravestone that reads "The Opposition, died 1997" |

![]() It's an MGL Fullscreen Application (see the label in your task bar). You would have to change it in the code.
I have read that Vista is able to run all programs fullscreen/windowed, but I'm no Vista amigo, so don't ask me.

![]() When playing this game, put a music cd that you want to listen to int othe cdrom drive. Then diffent songs will play in different cars. The original version had the soundtrack on it's cd rom. Its awesome, BTW. I have most of it on mp3.
I'm thrilled there are people playing this game again. I have been using programs to alter the cars apearance and speed, giving the game updated graphics and play. If anyone is interested in testing this modified version, let me know. There were may programs available to edit GTA. I have some, and will make them available if they can't be found online. A community of GTA car modders used to exist until about 2002. I would be intested to know what happened to some of the artists. They were great. Has anyone gotten the network play to work? I havent had any luck... |

![]() Great game.
I don't play (many) games, but i like this. Fist of all, i like it because it it's very simple. No complicated controls and fancy graphics but great gameplay ability. You just put the music on, drive around the town and relax... Another excellent thing is that you can change the game the way you like. It's quite easy. You can download new cars and maps with new missions from many gta fun sites like goranga and azz.goranga. (maps: just unzip it in gtadata directory / cars: use "Gta Cars" program to set new cars - you will learn in less than 10 minutes). You can also make your own too, but haven't tried it yet... So, one of the games that never get old (thanks to the fun sites - i can drive around Chicago, Hong Kong... and Sun Francisco too |

![]() "let me just say that it is the first part of most sold game series in the world. After the initial GTA, 5 more sequels were released."
Well not correct my dear friend... it's the 43rd most sold game serie in the world. You seem to forget series like Mario, Final Fantasy, Zelda. In total all GTA games has sold 21 million games, Mario 64 alone sold 8 million whilst Super Mario Bros 3 sold 27 million games. |
