Or simply copy EDIT from MSDos. Works in dosbox Also does QBasic. And plenty others (think freeware doseditors, zillions of those). |

The Fifth Horseman | You can always install Norton Commander or a clone of it, since they contain text editors.

_r.u.s.s. | edit is more like a program, they would probably need to ask for licension

Morrin | I really really would like to see "edit" command featured in dosbox

Yeah, I do have the project to try playing Conquest of the New World on the new version... Once I dig up my copy from my moving boxes. <_< I happen to have little use of DOSBox lately. The only game I play for long stretches of time since a few months is Dwarf Fortress. |

The Fifth Horseman | I think you should update to 0.7x. It's several times faster than 0.63, and the stability and speed of Dynamic Core went through the roof. (tested that myself)

I'm not the one needing help, I been mod of troubleshooting for a while here y'know. <_< I never used MD as a command, and I frankly don't see why I would need to use it either. I always create the directories in Windows, unzip the game then use DOSBox to run the game. On another note, the last DOSBox version I've installed on my computer is 0.63... |

md has been supported at least since 0.50 (as since then the source is public available) You might want to update one of these days. |
