Help Me Find The Name Of A Game

OK, I maybe first played it in 96. I had a mac version at one point. but I know for sure it has a windows version. I think it was set in a star wars setting. You had a ship and I think you could haul fright. you could upgrade your ship weapons shields things like that. when you flew somewere you had to fight in a top down, top to bottom scrolling thing. the name pegasus seems to ring a bell but I cant find anything on it. Little help? If you have no idea how about a suggestion on a similar ish game?
