View Full Version : One More Request, Don't Know The Name, Obscure

There is another game I remember but do not remember the name of. It was like an adventure game, with the setting being some sort of dinosaur park I think, like Jurassic Park, and you would do things as in an adventure game. I remember one part of it which was an electric fence I think, but I also remember something about a stove in a kitchen part, or something like that. The reason I remember it was because it had a good atmosphere, kind of lonesome sort of feel to it.
Yes, I know it's a weak description but anyone know this game?

Dino Park Tycoon, maybe?

No, it wasn't an aciton/tycoon game, and it wasn't bright or cheery, it was more like an adventure game, I think it may have been point and click, and I'm only fairly certain it was a dinosaur park, but it was some kind of park. The things I remember are a jeep or truck, a part with a stove and kitchen, and an electric fence. I think I died a lot because i didn't know what to do at the electric fence.

Sounds exactly like the Jurassic Park Sega Games to me...
But since you denied that...

It definitely isn't Jurassic Park. That game is a sidescroller type thing, this was more of a point and click game I believe, with static screens. Not an action game.

Sounds like the SEGA CD version (Wikipedia Jurassic Park games page (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jurassic_Park_(video_game)#Sega))

That one sounds more on the money, however I am still fairly certain it was not a Jurassic Park game, I probably would've remembered it if it was (also it was a PC game).

Is it maybe Sam & Max Hit the Road? Look here: Mobygames (http://www.mobygames.com/game/dos/sam-max-hit-the-road)
I remember to have seen once a screenshot on an old shareware floppy of it in some park with artificial dinosaurs. Never reached that far in the full version yet, though.

Erm, they so are in the full game. At Mount Rushmore.

He probably meant that HE never got that far in the game.
But shame on him, anyway.. Everybody should've played through Sam&Max.. One of the greatest adventure games there is!
And I doubt that he's looking for Sam & Max, that doesn't fit the description of the game almost at all. Don't remember fences, stoves or a lonesome feel in it.

Could it be Turok?! :w00t:
No, that's action again...
Damn! :ranting:

Aristharus is right, it wasn't Sam & Max. But thanks for trying.

Could it be Bermuda Syndrome (http://www.mobygames.com/game/windows/bermuda-syndrome)?
Dinosaurs, Adventure game, that much fits. Not sure about an electrical fence there, though. Neither about a stove in a world of dinosaurs.

No, that's not it :( Thanks for trying.
Hi guys,
I think i'm probably searching for the same game...
- 1 floppy Dos game.
- It was about a time machine into a lab (like a clear flash).
- Scroll game through fixed scenes like imgs.
- 2d Dinosaurs. I remember a triceratops blocking the left or right way and a (i'm not sure about this) the main character walking back on a long dino neck.
- You have to find a blonde kidnapped girl lost in the jungle (i think).
- I remember the name as "Dino Park" but i found nothing interesting.
(Ehi... Theowne, could be that?)
... guys do your best. Ty

This sounds a bit like Bermuda Syndrome (http://www.mobygames.com/game/bermuda-syndrome), but it's hardly a 1-floppy DOS game.
Some of the description also resembles Another World (http://www.mobygames.com/game/out-of-this-world).

I don't know if this is the game from the new requester (it's for Win95), but I'm almost sure it's the original game asked. There's the electric fence, the kitchen, the lonesome feel. I didn't get to the end, so I don't remember anything about riding a dinosaur or a blonde girl.
Its name is "Escape Dinosaur Island" and I've found it only on two (http://www.download-central.ws/Win16/Games/E/Escape-Dinosaur-Island/) sites (http://www.abandonia.com/vbullet/showthread.php?t=23187).
EDIT: found it here (http://archive.org/details/EscapeDinosaurIsland_1020) too.
