Please Help With Name

i remembera game which was very simple but provided hours of fun, it was a 2 player or 1 player v computer in a battle mode type senario. The concept was two assasins in split screen mode trying to kill each other in battle mode using various different guns bombs traps etc, a bit like mario cart minus the cart. The unique thig about this game was that it wasnt 3d or point of view but a side scrolling or overhead view

Sound a lot like Spy VS Spy.

nope wasnt that one, it played out a bit like choas engine, the special wepons were things like bullets that could go through walls or rubber bullets etc.

i may have been dreaming this game! LOL
