View Full Version : Game with a flying cyperpunk

Yes, I played such a demo back in 96 or 97, but remember so little.. It was a side scrolling platformer where you controlled a red, muscular dude looking a bit cyberpunk'ish, with sunglasses and yellow hair I believe (no not Duke Nukem). He had some jetboots that allowed flying over long distances. He also carried a gun/rifle (a weapon). I believe the demo-level was in the woods or something. Seem to recall the graphics were a bit quasi-3D, bullits were round, black orbs(?) but I may be wrong on that one.
Only additional info I have is that the demo came from a commercial pc magazine (so it was an official game), the only place I could get demos from back in those days :amused:
Does this ring a bell with anyone?

Sounds a lot like Cyril Cyberpunk (http://www.mobygames.com/game/dos/cyril-cyberpunk)
Possibly Forgotten Worlds. Not probably?

Sorry guys, it's neither of those. I remembered one more detail today though, the guy you played bent his knees when flying so that the bottom of his shoes (where the jets were located) pointed vertically backward allowing him to move forward. I don't know for sure but I think he both walked around and flew, though it might have been just flying.
I'm sure this is one of those sickly rare and low-budget games no one besides me played, but I hope someone else did because it's the only game from my past that I can't identify. The last game I don't know the title of. Not extremely important, but quite annoying :amused:.

Sadly, no, it's not Hyperman. Funny cut-scenes in that "game" though..
How can I post a small jpeg here? It's a simple drawing I've made of what I recall the guy looked like.

Was it Secret Agent from Apogee Software?

To tell you the truth your pic looks ALOT like the little secret agent guy you control in Secret Agent... blonde hair and completely red suit.
