The game is bit like an ancestor of dungeon keeper.

It's only 1 player vs 1 AI (dont think there is a multiplayermode), on a hexagonal field with 2 levels, underground. You need to clear some fields first before you can build your rooms (like in Dungeon Keeper), but all rooms have a fixed size and shape.
Also those digging creatures, let us call them imps ^^, if nothing else to do (to dig) begin to hardening the walls, so the other one can't dig into your dungeon, again like in dungeon keeper.
The problem here is that the hexfields have a diffrent hardness. Building rooms in hard stone takes more time, but in softer stone you easily get static problems, if you build your rooms to close to each other.
3 Ressources were mineable (only in the lower level, i think), Gold, Metal and something like Manastone.

The creatures can gain levelups, up to 10, i think.
You also need to do some research for new creatures, mining upgrades and probably other things i cant remember anymore.

There are more things i'm not sure about, but i think this should be enough anyway, for everyone who played this game at least once, at least if my english is understandable.

Well, so, who do know the name?

Sorry if I ask this, but...do you know the existance of the second Dungeoun Keeper?
Ok, now the intelligent part: Perhaps Blood & Magic? (http://www.mobygames.com/game/dos/blood-magic)

No, it's not Blood&Magic.

And why do you ask about Dungeon Keeper 2? The game i search is much older than Dungeon Keeper.

Could that be some variation of the settlers board game?
