I think it was in 1982, my best friend got himself a whopping 512K Apple Clone called a Mango II.
We were addicted to two games. One was the original Loderunner, which we played so much we would get aural hallucinations when we went to bed (I kid you not).
The second was a strange game where each player controlled a knight / barbarian. It was essentially a duel and you would try to kill each other. If you were far apart the screen would split and come together as one screen when you were close. There were levitating disks which you could stand on and you would either walk up to each other or whizz past on your disks trying to hew each other with axes. One great novelty was that you could hew off any of the limbs of your opponent leaving them alive, so in some cases you would be armless while your friend chased you trying to finish you off. Sounds macabre - but it was a lot of fun. Neither my friend or I can remember the name of this game.
Any ideas??? :titan:
