Please Help Me Remember The Name

Hello, I'm new here.

When I was around 9 my parents bought our first computer. And there was one game that I played a lot. Only, I can't remember the name of it.

Here is what I remember about it...
It was some sort of building game, you would build houses and trees, and all sorts of other things. I remember that everything was in the shape of a ball(thats what I think anyway...). Thats all I really remember about it.(not much of a description, I know)

So if anybody knows the name, please let me know what its called.

when you mentioned the ball shape... my thoughts go to Populous.

Like Luchsen said, around 1998/99.

And I'm sure it wasn't any of the sim games or populous.

Edit- The date actually could have been around 1996/97. Because I remember playing Chex Quest around that time.
