Hi everybody!
I am desperately looking for a very old Battleship game (198?).
I remember it to be in amber monochrome colours with black background, and it was basically a spreadsheet. You would set up your ships, and when the game began, you would type E2 and hit enter, to fire at E2. I donīt really remember, buit I think the grid was made up of "*" s, but I am quite sure, that when a hit was made, it was shown in the spreadsheet by a bigger "*".
I actually think the *' represented misses.
It was a two-player game; you took turns as you normally would.
Unfortunately, I donīt remember the name of the game. I have tried every name close to something with battleship, but I havenīt found it so far, which leaves me to think that the name could be related to something completely else.
I really hope you guys can help me with this, as I have tried absoloutely EVERYTHING to find this game, and itīs starting to frustrate me quite a bit :sos:
I have created a substitute screenschot from my memory, which you can see here:
http://www.danvfr.com/battleship.jpg
It is absolutely not accurate, but if you have seen ANYTHING that remotely resembles this image, please let me know.
You can contact me here or on [BEEEP]@hotmail.com - please both, as I very seldom uses forums and may forget to check as frequently as I am supposed to! If you drop me a mail, I'll wake up and rush over here ^_^
Best regards
Christian
