In this day and age, when the gaming scene is filled with real-world graphicfests, The Illuminated Lantern has the courage to create and publish interactive fiction (text-based games). Initially planned to be their only game, Peter Nepstad's 1893: A World's Fair Mystery had enough success to keep them further activating in this niche market. Their following projects were based on the stories of early fantasy writers (Tales of Wonder) and the unfinished ideas of H.P. Lovecraft (The Commonplace Book Project).
