I use to love Thomas and his friends. It’s not really a cartoon, it’s more like a puppet show and the voicing was done by Ringo Starr (one of the BEATLES). Imagine that! And here’s the chance to play the game about Thomas and help him become a really useful engine!

Well, there are actually two games here. One takes place on the railroad (and is unfortunately only for one player), but the other, the memory game, can be played by two players as well. This memo game is very simple. You have different cards facing down and you need to find pares.

As for the game itself… Well, it’s very colorful, but the sound isn’t good at all. Considering the graphics this game has, the sound should be much better! The controls are simple (space for speed) and buttons to move. Every now and again you enter a bonus level, where you need to race!

The railroads are numerous. You need to perform a task on each of the railroads. Basically this means you need to hook up the cart needed and then finish the route. It might sound easy, but it’s not. Every time a red flag shows up, a train is coming closer to you!

The only maneuver you can do is to get out of the way. But you can’t see where the other trains are, so you don’t know exactly what to do! At the bottom you’ll also see the Sun moving. Once it sets the time is up.

Why did I put this under puzzles? Well, you basically need to figure out when and where to move your train, so you’ll avoid the oncoming traffic. So you’ll need to figure out just how the other engines move. If you collide, you’re loosing valuable time.

There are also dead tracks and damaged tracks that can cause you to crash if you're too fast.

The 7 scenarios are very similar, but not quite the same. They tend to get more and more difficult, so there is some challenge in this game.

It's definitely a download the younger (and those young at heart) will love!
