Jagged Alliance is a turn-based strategy game, in concept very similar to UFO: Enemy Unknown. Only this time you fight terrorists instead of aliens. When you start the game, you get to choose a team of men and women that you will control in combat. Each of these characters have a different set of characteristics and atributes. They range from dexterity, health, agility, wisdom, marksmanship, medical, explosives and mechanical skills. Of course, these stats will be proportional to the sallary. Team choice will be very important as the money will drain faster than you think. That is why you should always have a balanced team of experts. However, your soldier's characteristics will not remain static. You can train them in various aspects, and they will get expirience and skill through combat as well. Every crewmember will come with a set of gear that you can change in between the missions. Then there's the combat mode. Before every mission you will get a map on which you can see how the terrain looks like and decide how to arrange your troops. Missions will consist of various objectives, ranging from executions, to evacuation to salvaging operations. Every soldier will have a certain amount of turn points that he/she will spend on movement and various actions during the mission. Smart and tactical use of those points will be crucial. You will be provided with a limited number of turns for every mission, so efficiency will be an important factor as well. If you haven't played this game before, I strongly recommend that you take the tutorial to get used to the commands and keys. So, I think you got the picture more or less. If you like what you've heard so far, you can be certain that this is only half of what's waiting for you. The graphics are beautiful, much better than in the original Jagged Alliance. You will encounter various landscapes (snow, forrest, rocky, jungle, desert, seaside etc.) so you won't get bored with the scenery. All in all, Jagged Alliance - Deadly Games is a tremedously entertaining and strategically very demanding game that will chain you to the screen for hours. It most certainly shouldn't be missed!
To make the game work, you will have to find the file called cd.rom that is located in the game's directory, and enter the driveletter on which the game is. So if it is on drive C, just enter the letter C into the file and it should work fine.
