Elite Plus is a good, old space trading game - a sequel to the original Elite, created in 1983. For an old game, it can be very complex and deep. You teleport and fly between planets to buy and sell various goods like slaves and weapons.
I would give the graphics a 4. They aren't exactly good by today's standards, but these older style 3D graphics were great for their time. The game still feels very playable, even with primitive 3D graphics.
The gameplay I would give a 5 as it allows for a lot of fun with everything you can do. As this is a freelance game, you can do a lot. The main objective is to trade items between planets with the buy low/sell high ethic, and you can also attack other ships and take their cash.
The sound I would give a 3. It's all internal speaker sound, and the fighting effects are bloops and bleeps. Still, it's really cool. The only music is available on the menu, but it's really well done and a classic song.
Overall, I'd give this game a 4 as it has great gameplay, cool graphics, but is lacking in one area: it's the same game as the original Elite. Nothing more has been added except a newer, easier-to-use interface and new graphics. This game would have scored a higher rating if it had had something cool added, like going on fun missions from the planets.
Dear Abandonia visitors: We are a small team that runs one of the largest DOS Games websites in the world. We have only 3 members of staff, but serve 450,000 users and have outgoing costs like any other top site for example: our servers, power, rent, programs, and staff. Abandonia is something special. It is a library of old games for you to download. It is like an old gaming arcade with all the old games in their original format. Abandonia is a place where you can find great old games and have fun four hours and years. To protect our independence, we are dependent of our friends using the site. We run on donations averaging around 6 USD (5 Euro). If everyone reading this gave the price of a cup of coffee, our fundraiser would be made easier. If Abandonia is useful to you, take one minute to keep it online for another year. Please help us forget fundraising and get back to Abandonia.
