For me personally, I found Microsoft Virtual PC to be better when running Windows 98SE. I've tried to run Mechwarrior 3 in VMWare player and it would always crash out on me, even when I turn off the 3d accelerated graphics in the game options. (Graphics tend to be a problem for most games in Virtual Machines)
VMWare Player seems to be better for running newer operating systems like Windows XP and Windows 2000. I've managed to get games like Sonic R and Mechwarrior 3 (with some flaws) running on a Windows 2000 machine in VMWare Player. |
