It seems a little stupid, but I can't find the " Sutter's mail slot ", I read this part in the WalkThrough but it didn't help much... Someone can explain me where I can find it??? Or sending me a screenshot??? (renato.mazzoni@gmail.com)

Thanks!

I didn't really like this game that much, even though it was reccomended on one of the LucasArts games.

I hadthe same problem in Beneath A Steel Sky. SPOILERS: I was stuck on how to get past that monster in the subway. So I looked at the walkthrough. It said to use the light bulb with the socket. I couldn't find a socket anywhere. I still haven't finished it.

@RENATUFO:
I think it's the ones in the police station (you know - where you can clean out your gun). There are some yellow slots on the wall (don't remember if that's how they are called, but I think that's it).
You need it to get the rap sheet or to leave some paperwork (right)?

@BOBBIN THREADBARE:
Yes, I realize this game is somewhat different then the LucasArts games (you can die in this game), still it's an adventure game of top quality (and sinse most great adventures we once hosted turned out to be ESA protected, we try to show people the ones that aren't ESA - like this one).

In the event that anyone likes this game, I would have to recommend Police Quest 4: Open Season as it's vastly superior but has the same kind of 'weirded-out' feel (sort of like a virtual edition of Homicide: Life on the Streets or one of those other dark cop dramas) plus better production values. This is the only game that's ever got me really frightened, so it's well worth checking out - the later scenes are definitely pretty tense when you're trapped in the ****insert game spoiler here*** with the ****won't spoil it for you of course!****

Back to this game, I enjoyed it up to the point where I kept getting 'killed' because I didn't submit the evidence booking forms in the right order (or something) after arresting the boat dude. I've followed one of the walkthroughs but this kind of crummyness smacks of those instant-death kills Sierra just to specialise in. Anyway, it was enough to stop me playing the game and I haven't been back since...Does anyone know what Jim Walls did after this game? Although it was a shame that he didn't work on the PQ series after the third installment, the fourth one was excellent, and the fifth one was definitely an acquired taste...

There is a walkthrough you know...
And if you can't get to the card on the boat - then maybe the card is somwhere else...

How do you get off the island? My boat's stuck on the sand, and the walkthrough doesnt tell me.

Thanks.

After you do all you should on the island, simply return to the boat. Should work!
