Burning ISOs and CD Images
i just got a old machine that has Windows 95 and it works fine. But I learned something recently. When you burn an ISO or Cd Image of a game you must burn it at the slowest speed in order for it to copy it right. Older CD players on old computers can't read as good as the new machines. I had to burn a game twice in order for it to play right on my Windows 95 machine. And I had to burn it slowly. Its Just a suggestion.

It was a problem a couple of Years ago, but also - the CD-recorders had lower speeds.
I still do not use higher speed than x8 to burn audio-CD. Some of the players do not work correctly with faster-burn-compilations.

Don't forget that sometimes cleaning the lens in the drive helps a bit.

I never burn anything at higher than 8x, and mostly at 4x. I was getting some nasty corruption using anything higher than 12x.

I have my burner set at maximum speed (12x), but it always burns at around 2x. I used to get pissed off at that, but I guess I'm happy now that I know about this, lol.

Haha, yeah, that may be one issue. I mostly use cheap DVDs. The CDs are pretty decent, so I haven't had many issues with that.

i never had a problem with this yet i've been using CD's on both the new and old computer. The onl yissue i found was with LG burn drive and my car CD radio. The radio has problems finidng the beginning of CD (sometimes it helps whern i skip a song). I never had this problem with the other burner (i am not sure which one that is but i think it's NEC). I burn the CD's at maximum speeds.

Errrahehehem. I would not recommend burning music CDs at anything over 4x at maximum, and, to be honest, even with a good burner 1x is still best.
