Adventure games where what shaped my profession as a programmer. I loved adventure games so much that I wanted to write my own, and I did, although nothing retail quality. There were no game design class in college or How-To books back then.
Anyway, I played the old games you probably have never heard of - Asylum, Pyramid, Bedlam, Dallas Quest, etc. - on the TRS-80 and the Color Computer. Of course, I also played them up the line from Scott Adam's to Infocom to Sierra On-Line and Lucas Arts. I understand it isn't retail quality, but the price is right... I wrote The Monday Adventure, back on an IBM mainframe then ported it many years later to Windows. It is a hybrid of text and point and click. Scott Adams himself said "I love it." It has been dl over 20,000 times, was on Download.com and ZNet for a while. Yes, I'm asking you to try it out, just for the fun of it. Http://www.MikelRice.com Also, I have completed a completely text only game - another port from my mainframe days - that I need a beta test or two on. My last beta testers just did not have the love and passion for adventure games so they did "understand" the point. If anyone would be willing to play test it, please let me know. I really would like to release it this year. Thanks in advance.

Isn't Dungeon Master an RPG more than a Point and Click adventure?
