How do I get gold in the MM1?

My party has 800exp now and had done lots of battle.....

But never get anything to sell or get any gold..........

Runing out of food...T_____________________T

I used all my starting gold buying weapons........

Search when you've won a battle and you'll always find something. You can even rest where you are before attempting to disarm the trap if you're worried about dying.

How come my a few of my characters sometimes don't have the option to attack? Their weapons are equipped and they're in good condition.

They are not standing next beside an enemy. Only the two frontline characters can always attack with melee weapons, if there's no wall at the left or right side character 3 or 4 can do melee too.
If you're surrounded or similar everyone can do melee.

Equip your back row characters with ranged weapons if you want them to be able to attack.

Oh boy, I've had a sorcerer in front of my party this whole time! Sure I can fix that, but now that I know the players in the back can't melee monsters, I'm going to have a small problem because of my party setup. I have a sorcerer, cleric, robber, and 3 knights. (Mainly because I hate hybrids) Can knights used ranged weapons?
