Paco: okay, good to hear, multiupload gives you mirrors to other upload sites, even though you/I or who ever is only uploading to multi upload itself.
So multi upload uploads for you to the rapidshares and others , including megaupload. and to name a few of the other places multiupload uploads for you are rapidshare, depositfiles, hotfile, zshare, uploading.com , and megaupload.

I like it, I used it myself some time ago when I downloaded the old source code to Double Dragon II. from original 740 images a mate of mine had, and then I reuploaded it, gave him a link to the thread where I introduced the source to the public.

I still can't believe it but 4shared now let you upload files for a max size of 2GB using a free profile

Does anybody verified it?

I can't verify that, but think about how unreliable 4shared has been lately and re-uploading a 2 GB file...

I never had problems, but I never did big uploads.

Chaps, do you now have to register @ 4shared in order to download anything? I could have sworn you didn't need an account just several years ago...

Yes, now you need an account for most files - although I'm not sure if all.

It looks like they added that requirement after the Megaupload storm, now they also promote 4shared as a "cloud oriented" service, and considering that it's one of the few still up...well, they did it for a good reason.
