This is probably my favorite classic RPG next to Wasteland.

Personally I think this is the best sequel, that actually made you feel like you were going back to something you left behind. I had played so much of Ultima 4, half the fun of Ultima 5 was seeing how the world had changed, and how the towns were different. Seeing old characters, and seeing things like the cemetery in Moonglow with the graves of the spirits from U4.

Total classic.

Ah, reliving the days when Num Lock broke games. I'm using the patch to hear Sir Kenneth's music for the first time! (Had to go grab CWSDPMI to get this going in DOSBOX, if anyone's interested.)

Any idea if it's possible to talk to party members? Is it necessary?

There is a free (as in beer) remake of Ultima V, using the Dungeon Siege engine, which is called Ultima Lazarus. I really wanted to play Lazarus, but there are no "legal" copies of Dungeon Siege in market. I don't know why it is needed as Ultima V is abandoned. I saw a demo on youtube of Lazarus, I -REALLY- wanted to play it.
