Bought some old games today!
I found some old games in a charity shop today and had to buy them as they were only £1.00 each, I collect the old games even though I don't have a floppy drive or Dos but that's what Abandonia and Dosbox are for
There's nothing very rare but the surprising thing is the condition as they are like new with the all manuals and stuff, don't know if there's anything of use for Abandonia I will have to check the games here and see if anything is needed. I got quite excited when I saw all the games on the shelf it was like being a kid again :embarassed: |

Ohh, you got Hero's Quest !! Note that it was shortly renamed after the release to Quest for Glory due to some copyright problems.
It was the first game ever which I have played through to the end, armed with a dictionary german-english. |

The following games are not available on AB: Indycar Racing II, Central Intelligence and JRR Tolkien's War in Middle Earth. Though, the last we have on FTP and are waiting for TheChosen's review.

Damn you and your cheap charity shops
No seriously, some of those games are worth a LOT - as long as all the manuals are in the boxes, of course. I've been slowly collecting as many classics as I can but they're not cheap to find on ebay. |

Unfortunately some people have already deemed early games to be future collectibles and are asking silly money for average condition games many of which are not complete, hopefully they won't get like comics and be bought just for an investment some of them have gone for over a million $, I would hate that especially if I didn't have them to sell

If anyone is considering getting a printer/scanner this is the one I have ordered I spent ages reading reviews before I settled on this model and for the money it seems a bargain, just hope it works as well as all the reviews say as I have wanted a scanner for years and have loads of stuff to scan. |
