Hi!
There's a typo in the name of the publisher which is the same as the producer. The company's name is Ascaron, not Ascon. Ascaron isn't unfamiliar to me. They made a brilliant soccer-sim in Germany named "Anstoß". It's not the same as "kick off" that would be the translation. They do great soccer sims!  k:

Well. On the Ball was published in the year 1994.
From Mobygames: ASCARON Entertainment GmbH Ascaron is a computer game company located in Gütersloh, Germany. Founded in 1991 under the name "Ascon", the company started to develop entertainment software for the German market. They concentrated on historical business simulations and sport management games at first. Also Known as Ascon GmbH -- Company until 1996. So you are right, but reviewer also was right
