It wouldn't be so bad if he didn't insist on reading extracts of it to us in the Skyranger every time we go out. Even the bits that look like "Mum rang today, was on the phone for an hour and made me miss the start of American Pie 6 on the re-run channel - I love that movie. Buy milk." Yesterday it was "Got up late, had to run to training so missed breakfast, then passed out. Everyone called me a wuss and made fun all day, but I'll show them. They'll all learn some day!" and then a few really nasty doodles. I'm starting to worry about him - I'd watch my back more but I keep tripping over things. But then maybe that's not an accident...

Finally got some action again, although it seems like my soldier was a pitcher in a major baseball league before joining X-Com.


I faced my first alien today, it was a little strange, but I just pulled the trigger like I was trained to and the alien was fried. But I got to stay focused, don't want anyone to suspect anything. and I don't plan on getting killed now, when my goal is in range, to bad I was not chosen to go on that Alien Base mission, I could have gotten quite alot of information on what the enemy knows about Kiryu-Kai, and I still haven't been able to get close to the X-Com mainframe, but I will in due time. Just keep it cool. Just keep it cool.
