Default Jetstrike

I remember playing a side view game with planes and helicopters.
It had quite a lot of planes ,around 10 - 20 and one of them was a harrier jet.
The graphics were quite good.
I can also remember that you started at your base, on the right side of the map and there was an enemy base too, there were 2 enemy planes, but not sure about that.
Oh, and one map was a desert with mountains in the background.
I dont remember much from it, but i played it a lot.

Okay, let us start the Standard Videogame Memory Analizing Process:

1. In which years did you play this game?
2. Which platform did you play it on?
3. What was the genre of the game? *Partially answered - Arcade
4. What was the theme of the game? *Answered - airplane dogfights
5. What else can you recall about it? *Paritally answered - misc. details

Please try to focus on the questions listed above. I know it's sometimes quite hard to remember things like that, but they're of great help. You know, there are about hundreds of thousands of games like the one you described. If you can specify the platform and the era, we will be more likely to find it.
I don't really want to ask for things like the developer team's name or the publisher's name, because most of the people who seek a game seek one they played as a kid, when you don't pay attention for anything like that. That's why I struggled so much to find games like Mechwarrior, Virtua Cop, Gauntlet 2.
Don't worry, you're doing it right if you try to describe the actual gameplay and features, because there might be some unique details that are rare. If you try to answer those questions, we might succeed. Not guaranteed though - but if we could find that certain C64 game in which you piss on a man tied up in public, then something like this is 100% possible.

That description doesn't tell anyone here much.
When did you play the game?
Was it in DOS or Windows (which version of Windows?)
"Quite good" graphics isn't telling us much. EGA, VGA, SVGA... ? Sprites or 3D?

I dont remember much when i played it but im almost sure that was in DOS.
I think the graphics were SVGA or VGA.
Also i remember there was some plane or helicopter for around 3 seconds when the game started, or when quit, i dont remember much.

Basing on your "background graphics" and "base on left" I am suspecting that it is side-view 2D? Or am I wrong?

After doing some research, I've determined Jetstrike meets Abandonia's Definition of Abandonware, therefore...
