Hi!
My firefox keeps saying that my connection time has run out. I've no idea why my computer has such a slow connection. At moments it's so bad, that I can't even open a page, because it takes it too long. At other times it runs without any trouble.
I've scaned it against viruses and spyware, but still I get the same problem. Can anybody recomend a good programe to check my computer for anything unwanted (trojans, worms, whatever could slow it down).
Otherwise my connection is 1MB so it should work fast enough!

You could try System Mechanic 5 or BitDefender 8 Pro!

I have no idea which virus scanner you use but to check for worms and such two good online programs are Trend Micro's Housecall, and Panda ActiveScan both are good online scanners that can detect worms and such.

While runnin p2p programs (like KaZaa or Emule) I got the same problems (timed out, too many connections). Are you running any p2p apps in the background?

Nope. I'm not running them. I uninstalled all p2p programmes and I scan my HD daily (but maybe my protection software isn't strong enough).
Thanks for all the help guys. I scaned with all 4 programes mentioned above and found some low/medium risk programes (about 9 of them). I hope this will do the job. It's quite late here now, so I'll tackle the problem tommorow. Thanks again!

Try this: My Abreviated Bug Protection Suite!!!!

Download:
-Ad-Aware
-Spybot S&D
-Javacool's Spyware Blaster
-Javacool's Spyware Guard
-AVG Free Anti-Virus
-Zone Alarm Basic

By Having those utilities, you will be able to get rid of and prevent many nasty bugs. I'm not saying they are the absolute best, but considering that they're freeware, they rock!
