After that (it's also in the walkthrough) you should talk to the person there with you.

After I got over the fact that this, adult, rookie cop lives at his GRAMMA FRANNIE'S HOUSE and that SHE COOKS DINNER FOR HIM I really liked this game. If only he were finacially independent...

Hahaha, that cracked me up!

What I did was this - I unziped the game and all the files that were zipped to a random folder (let's say - c:\BF)
Next I started DOSBox and did this:
mount c c:\
c:
cd BF
join
2install
And installed the game to C:\blue
After instalation I was at folder C:\blue and ready to play!
[/b]
what i did:

mount d d:\danny\spel
d:
whatever command takes me to my gaming folder (to tired to remember)
join
2install

result:

blueforce asks me where i want to install the game and i try several different paths and the game just tells me "no such file or directory" over and over

also tried:

join blue.rlb blue
2install

result:

some files are copied somewhere but other then that i get the same result. I cant install because blueforce tells me "no such file or directory". I even made a specific folder in C: called Blue and it still gives me the same message

and to whoever said this works in xp in win95 compatability....not for me

...err... first off, the game is preinstalled, so you don't need to install it. Secondly, when mounting it's much better to mount as C not D (some of the older games have reserved letters, like only A or B can be floppy disks and such), so mount

mount C d:\danny\spel
C:

Oh and I also think the game is pre-installed (not sure, wasn't my archive), so you don't need to install it again (just maybe rename the folder into BLUE instead of BLUE FORCE).

I have the original and don't remember it being 4 hour game - will have to dig it out and play it and see if that is the case, or wether this is a cut down zip file!

It's a complete game, but the one I have on a CD takes up more space as well. The CD has sound files included (see the extras here - the inteview and stuff, haven't added music which is in audio CD format).

And about it being 4 hour... if you really know the game it's possible to finish it in just over an hour of play (getting all the things done correctly the first time around).
