![]() Odd... just to check whether you're doing it right:
You'll have to be out in the desert and at least spend a full day or night there, while you should be far enough from the palace, you shouldn't see anything but desert. As said before, walking 3 "screens" away from the palace should be enough. Other than that, I wouldn't know of anything you could have missed...

![]() Just one of the best games released. I'm a very big fan of the book series, and this worked well for when it was made. As for secrets, well this might not be a secret t oanyone but what I found best, was to forget about building an army until you had pretty much leeched the planet for all the spice you could get. That way, you always have enough spice to give the emperor up until the end of the game

![]() I used to play Dune 2 when I was a youngin' so as soon as I saw Dune 1 available for download I got that tingling feeling inside.
I recently got into reading the dune chronicles about 4 months ago. I haven't read Frank Herberts origionals yet but I've read his son's prequels(sp?) to dune. I just finished House Corrino and I have to say I was awe-stricken, it's the best series I've read and I'm not even on Franks books yet. The game is just as good as the book and they capture the book, and movies, essence greatly. |

![]() I also used Dosbox to run Dune, and I didn't get any sound either.
Could it be that the sound files are missing? I don't have the game here, so I can't check. But it happens often -even for games that are small by today's standards- that the sound files were left out when people copied the game, to save space. Just a guess though...
