Funny, Rome Total War seems very much simplified from the others. In Medieval, there were way more options for building, and building took way longer.

I tend to change opinions in time but the best games I have played are:
Deus Ex Beyond Good and Evil Half-life 1 Half-life 2 Chronicles of Riddick ( a game that is better then the movie, how's that!) Vampire: Bloodlines (despite the bugs it's pretty awesome) Morrowind |

I love all the Total War series. Dreadlord you also mentioned Terra Nova, have you played Sentinel Worlds? Its one of my favorite games and Terra Nova is kind of a sequel to it.
Of all the games though, I think Fallout is towards the top of the list of favorites. And also the Operational Art of War: Century Edition. And the Jagged Alliance games. Oh and Planescape:Torment. And Defender of the Crown. And System Shock 2. And X-Com.... Okay, I really can't choose a favorite. |

Strange, I could've sworn that I posted in here... I guess I only thought about it. :P
As for my favorite games I suppose I should break it down by category (top three but in no particular order): FPS: -Deus Ex -System Shock 1 & 2 -Ultimate Doom Adventure -Laura Bow in: The Dagger of Amon Ra -Beneath a Steel Sky -Gabriel Knight: Sins of the Fathers RPG: -Fallout 1 & 2 -Legacy: Realm of Terror -Wasteland (Though I suppose I could just shove this with Fallout :P) |

Command & Conquer: Tiberian Dawn
I tooootally love C&C. Know the game completely inside out, too... I'm currently working on making one C&C pack which contains C&C in 3 languages - English, French & German. Still missing the French briefings of the Covert Operations expansion pack though.. if anyone has the French C.O., it'd be very helpful. |
