What is actually so bad or unusual on reading?
Most people I know just can't read books. They concentrate too much on every word and thus forget what the author is talking about and read the sentance again. Others don't bother taking the time at all, while other people (like my dad) read reports all day that by the time they get home they can hardly pick up a text and read it for fun.

But fortunetly my father(he was even a writer for some time, and quite succesful here in slovakia) has teached me(well better said showed me)reading books.I read my first fantasy book when I was nine.(first part of Riftwar saga)
Since that I keep reading almost every book that falls into my big dirty hands...

I am one of the many that find reading boring. It's not that i don't understand the book, or the feelings that the author is transmiting(i passed every romanian exam with good marks, without reading many books, like 1/4 of the school years required reading material).I just don't have the patience to read, whatever the subject.... i wish i could read more though...

One writer that I didn't mention before is Alexandre Dumas. I like reading his books, they always have that nice touch of adventure.

Humor/Family: P.G.Wodehouse Its about well known butler, 'Jeeves' and his master.

Agreed there. Although I read only two long stories of Ray Bradbury - Fahrenheit 451 and The Martian Chronicles, and else only short stories of him like Asleep in Armageddon and some others, the first two are simply amazing. Especially the second one is impressive, and so sad at the end where the only people that seemingly remain are the family on Mars...

I loved the Martian Chronicles. It was sad

And Farenheit was so fast moving and adventuresome!
