I do recall the background artist also doing comics, and and so the graphics are simply magnificent.
You're talking about Dave Gibbons, who is more famous for illustrating the seminal, cyncial deconstructionist superhero tale Watchmen.

The graphic novel is basically the introduction sequence, but more detailed. It's a fun read and helps lay out the game's plot.

i know that i am constantly on here desperate for help and am obviously the worst gamer, but how do you get mrs. piermont to sponsor you on the scene on the ground floor? she keeps on refusing, "you could be a terrorist" WHAT IS HER DEAL?!
i have the exact same problem, how do i make the fat lady go in to her apartment?
after speking to the doorman, i go to the lady but she won't agree to sponsor me... she says she don't know me and that i might be a torrorist. how do i solve this??

As far as I remember you could get stuck in the game often because you lacked a specific dialogue option, so you had to make sure you talked to everyone about everything in order for that dialogue option to become available.

If you get stuck on a regular basis though, maybe it would be best to download a walkthrough here: www.google.com

What is that supposed to mean? Would you call Loom a crappy game? I bet a lot of people would disagree.

Ok... I can help you by quoting from the readme.txt that came with my copy.

"You need ScummVM version 0.5.0 or newer to play this game, which can be
downloaded at http://www.scummvm.org/

Basicall you fire up the ScummVM program and find the .dsk file and play. k:
