Somebody should talk to Kosta about it. I don't have the update anymore, and I don't feel like making it again unless I'm absolutely sure it won't be removed from the site.

http://www.mobygames.com/game/magic-the-gathering I don't know, perhaps Romano have it/them into an archive. It's an important brand, I don't know whether it's a good idea to declare it as Abandonware or not. Is this game the same you're talking about? => Link.

I've got the "plain" M:TG on a CD. HOTU had an archive with DOTP a while ago.
As David pointed out, it's still sold on Amazon Marketplace - since the query whether we consider it a reliable source or not remains unresolved, the verdict will have to wait.

I thought it was deemed Abandonware a loooong time ago, but wasn't hosted on our site because the filesize was way too big?

Eagle is right. Well, it wasn't 100% sure if it was abandonware - it was before the ESA incident. I reviewed and uploaded the whole game and it was on Abandonia for about one night, then Kosta removed it, because the server got too busy. It's a very big file and there were probably many downloads of it.
I haven't got the review anymore (nor the screenshots), but I'd love to review it again (remember most of the previous review anyway). But on this one I'd deffinetly want a clear OK from Kosta personally. |
