You're not informed than, Marion Jones, Justin Gathling and many other sprinters(I'm not sure for other disciplines) have admited that they have been taking doping for over 10 years and all their medals and records have been erased, very sad.

For the record the Michael Phelps comment was largely intended for humorous purposes (although he is an extraordinary athlete).

After reading your link it seems that the vast majority of the sources listed in it are either
A. Interpretations of pictures
B. Missleading excerpts from articles
While the fact that Phelps was in an OMEGA lane does raise skepticism, it is largely circumstantial and does not necessarily mean there was cheating. The same argument could be applied to China, meaning that due to them being the host nation / wanting to send a message to the rest of the world they are cheating as well in certain regards (which may or not be true), but "thats ok". As the race was extremely close, regardless of the winner (I do not believe one can possibly dispute this) I would in no way what so ever attempt to judge it by, as many of your sources claim, "the naked eye".

Also, if you would, please stop with the anti American comments. I am not trying to say that you are not entitled to your opinion, however comments like "you're an American you can do whatever you want, and still get away with that...at least for a while!" do not really serve any purpose in the discussion besides being blatantly offensive. Hungary : 7 counts
US : 5 counts
Spain / Sweden : 4 counts (each)
Russia : 3 counts
Puerto Rico / Mongolia / Romania / Poland / Canada / Japan / Norway / Germany / India : 2 counts (each)
All others on the list : 1 count

Going by http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of...Olympic_medals (both summer AND winter olympics)
Stripped medals :
US / Bulgaria : 7 medals
Hungary : 4 medals
Sweden : 3 medals
Germany / Russia / North Korea : 2 medals
All others on list : 1 medal
Of the 7 stripped US medals 1 was from Rick DeMont (swimming), 5 were from Marion Jones (athletics), and 1 was from Antonio Pettigrew (athletics), for a total of three athletes.

Considering the USA has won 2,177 medals total (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_...ummer_Olympics) and has 597 participating athletes in the Beijing Olympics alone (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_...ummer_Olympics) I would hardly say that the US olympic athletic department is "nothing, all medals gone, all records erased."
