Ok I send the messages, through private messages abandonia. i tried first to do it through the forum clicking on the private messages option but says "disabled by your administrator" how to enable it?

Unfortunately, I have to disagree. I preferred the old style of the website. While this style is simple, new and does look good, it doesn't live up to the old design.

I've been a website lurker for a few years now and even though I applaud Abandonia's efforts to redesign the website, I'd like to see an option to revert to the old design or advancements to this current theme.

As I've said elsewhere, I kind of like the new style. Perhaps the background could be some pale colour instead of nuclear white though, and I guess it could be improved in other ways. The forum on the other hand is completely vBulletin default except for the maroon colour --but the buttons are still the default blue ones and they look out of place. It would be cool if the forum was styled in a unique Abandonia way, although the old Abandonia forums were mostly Invision default as well. A first step again would be replacing the nuclear white background with some similar pale colour that's not so brilliant.

yes, i agree with japofran the background color could be more pale for all the site.

Again congrats, for the work that is been done, the bugs that are solved, one by one, probably only noticed by a few.
It's clear that people are doing work here.

Things are apparently progressing on due course now, the last thing I noticed is that now the quiz already displays the last day's answer. And of course the updates are back, yay. Let's see how long until my review gets its turn.

My sincerest apologies. I've been a real jerk. I think nearly the only posting I've made is crying about my pieces o' eight, and the whole screenshot glitch.

So thankyou to all involved in creating Abandonia and good work.:laugh:

I've been around this website for years as well... And I'm terribly disappointed.

I understand it's supposedly in 'early' phases, but the thing is... The foundations themselves seem messed up. The base layout is terrible compared to the old one... And I havn't seen a single layout change since it was launched.


But these are just my thoughts, and not some constructive comments. I truly appreciate everything the Abandonia staff is doing, and its hard work invested in this. That's why I am even more disappointed from this... Because it feels like they've done it all for nothing.

Unless there are plans to bring back the old website, a few suggestions:
As suggested before, a pale background colour.
Also, each news box should be more delineated.
Do something about those ads... They're all over the place, and it's a major annoyance. Put on one top, one on bottom, and the rest only on the right side below the menus.


I hope this new website has a future... So far it doesn't seem like a bright one.
