hmmm. gta or postal2, gta or postal2..? well i can live without sex scenes in games. is a bit dumb that people are getting all het up about this when free porn is generally just a few clicks away the second a kid gets on the internet.
i know about net nanny. i also know that the avarage parent keeps there passwords written down somewhere near there computer..
game probably shouldent have been a 15 rating in aus in the first place though. im all in favour of age ratings for games. the higher the better. you may be underage and have played these games, good for you. but a lot of the sicker freakier people i have knowen in r.l tend to have been hooked on hardcore horror films from a really young age.
due to the whole media fuss about underage drinking i have been being carded when i buy booze from supermarkets!! im bloody 25!! my wife got carded the other day and she is 30!! (tho obviosly she was flattered) i think games shops should be the same, ask for i.d regardless.
seeing that thing on richard and judy when some parents who had bought there 10 year old kids vice city had to watch them playing it was classic. they have been turning a blind eye for a while. the kids who did colombine learnt there handgun skills from playing doom apperently. indeed i have seen military people saying about how maybe its not such a good thing that kids are getting military style training from games these days. im not saying evry kid who plays is gonna be a freak but maybe controls should be just a little tighter.

Bring more sales to GTA?
Um, I hope you've noticed that anything X rated, adult only, NC-17, is usually a complete RUINATION, and FAILURE.
GTA is going to suffer horribly if it retains this rating, and so will a large part of the PS2 funds, since most of it's revenue comes from the game (sales for San Andreas have already dropped beyond belief)

The good thing is peeps, that Rockstar is releasing a new M rated version that has the sex minigame removed, so all the young children can have renewed hope.

Everyone is overreacting on this.

You want your children to NOT go to porn-sites. Well you install filters and whatever. To stop them watching the porn TV-shows you just don't let them. To have them playing GTA without hot coffee, tell them to and do something against it.

I think the kids that could eventually probably maybe suffer from these scenes are not smart enough to install the patch. (I know it's just replacing two files).

Not really, I think Rockstar was asking for it, in my opinion Rockstar was being completely stupid about it, and acting completely innocent, it was completely dumb for Rockstar not to remove the code for that stupid minigame that isn't even any fun.

Thanks to idiot Rockstar, people are turning their heads to other games.

When San Andreas came out in Aus it was a parcially cencored version.
All of my Friends just got the New Zealand copies and payed an extra $10 for the import cost.
I really dont know why Aus is so pedantic about it when we have more leanient age restrictions compared to other nations eg: Aus - Drinking alcohol at 18. USA - 21
