56k mode here. That would be 4kbps in optimal circumstances!
I remember downloading Sam&Max (200MB) for more than 20 hours! |

Whoa that's something, I don't think I would ever try to download something that huge on 56k, way too long for me to wait..

Up to 26 Mbit down and 1 (!!!!!) Mbit up (theoretical)
In practical use, i've gotten 1.3 Mega Byte / second as maximum = 10,4 Mega Bit / Second. Just need better UP-speed, and i'm happy.

Thanks im getting cable on the 29 ( hitchhiker guide too the galaxy !!! :Brain: :w00t:
 ) anyway it includes cable internet and I have a 56k modem, im maybe going to get wi-fi so i can use my old laptop ( 98 ) and ao i play a game on my ds that will come later this year ( AC S !!! :Brain: :w00t: ) but anyway again what would be my basic download speed with the cable, wi-fi, and 56k modem?? just an estimate i got a 2002 Dell comp also if that would help |

I get 4kbps downloads, biggest file I downloaded was 60mb took 4 hours, it was the 1.1 update for Starwars Battlefront. The best map ever came with that download.

Well, living out in the wilderness where the exchange isnt even Broadband ready, I'm still downloading at around 2.5kbs per second. heheh
