I fanyone else needs it, just PM me.

@Astral and @Eagle of Fire - Why not help if someone like to get one?

@mouse31e - It's storage is bigger then any other non paid email (1 GB). Also POP3 access is free and they provide forwarding. (for both of these options you have to pay in hotmail or yahoo) Also it looks better then other web clients. So that's what's so great about it.

But it appears you really no longer need an invite anymore:

Sign up for a gmail account

So, indeed, this topic is now completely redundant

Edit: mmm... Anubis was ahead of me with explaining the benefits...

for most of the time i had it, there wasnt pop3 access. so its a recent thing i think. i will check it out.
yahoo USED to do pop3 for free, but then they went down the toilet and even turned their communities into pure unusable spamfests

I seem to have overlooked this thread before and it sank quite down in the list.

It would be pointlessly long to quote everything from this other board thread, so I'm only going to link to it here.

Read and be enlightened. Altough nothing said there is new and the point of this thread wasn't to "enlighten" people.

I personally never reply to a Gmail account. I delete them on the spot, or let them get deleted automatically in my junk folder (which is where they seems to always go anyways).

All I see in that thread is crap. So Google shows us contextual ad's. Whoopie. If you don't want anyone reading your email then you shouldn't be on the net anyway, cause being able to catch network packets means that ANY private data can be intercepted. Even encryption only helps to a point. Anyway, who cares unless you're talking about bombing some country or something.

And also to how many companies have you given your email account? So what? Somewhere along the way someone's gonna get it and spam. Whoopee again! Get a spam catcher. Or another free email account - it didn't cost you anything anyway.

All these conspiracy theories can be so irritating.
