I will say that Ninja Scroll had some of the best monsters I've ever seen. How can you beat a bee-backed man?

Im not a avid fan, but I like anime. Yeah, I sometimes watch it If I get the change. The Japanese sure know how to make awesome stories.

One of my favourites was the Cowboy Bepop the Movie. It was just so...cool.

I'm addicted to anime.
As for exact shows... I'll have to write down the exact list later today.

For the moment, Hellsing is my personal favorite (the new direct-to-dvd show, aka "Hellsing Ultimate", not that bad one from several years ago).
I can barely wait for the fourth part . If I remember the manga right, it should contain Alucard's assault on Eagle (my favorite part from the trailer, BTW). :brain:

If you consider it to have an East Asiatic style, you can call it anime.

Anime looks good nearly always but most of the times the plots are too damn weird and the script too pretentious/laggish to get my attention. But as I said Dragon Ball is very good IMO for episodes 1-78, it's a comical work but a good one, and even has a slight moralizing touch for kids that isn't out of tune.

Lulu: You are right. Every baddie was a great display of imagination in that movie. The problem is, I saw it when I was about 8 years old and, well, it has some scenes not suited for a kid... Of course I loved it.

Japofran: Yes, Dragon Ball was great in its beginings. But after some time everything evolved into a "this enemy is level 3, so I have to enhance my fighting abilities to level 4 in order to defeat him, then he will improve his to level 4/5, tehrefore..." Designed for kids, and not very smart ones.

Fifth: I like Hellsing, but I find the original one better than "Ultimate". This last one, the style is too caricature-like for me, and characters less deep. Just an opinion.

Yes, Jin Roh and Cowboy Bebop are great.

And lastly, hasn't anybody seen Samurai Champloo, from Bebop's director?

They just finished showing Dragonball Z in Finland (month ago) and..the ending was just so....anti climax. There was this huge battle then suddenly Goku tells hi's opponent that he's here to train him and then "Goku and his friends lived many more years and had many more adventures"....bollocks!

Oh, and for some reason, the finale was dubbed in german, altought the whole series was shown in english. Bleh!

EDIT: And yes, I agree with you Tito and Japofran. I too liked the first episodes. After that, it was just about fighting and powering up.
